Insurance
All students registered at Shiraz University are insured and received medical care. This will be explained to you upon registration. The University has two clinics which could be used by students as well.
Banking
Upon arrival, it is important for you to have an Iranian bank account, because you can then use your bank card in order to shop, get cash from ATM machines, or do online purchases (like tickets). At the moment, Bank Mellat offers banking services for the University.
Transportation
The main campus of Shiraz University is located on Eram hills, next to the Eram Garden. There are several campuses in other locations in and around Shiraz. Therefore, the University offers transportation services between all campuses. So, it is possible for students to take the university buses. Ask for a schedule or look for one at the university bus stops.
Alternatively, you can take the city transportation system, including the metro, buses, and taxis. Taxis are reasonably priced, and you could also use an online cab-hailing app, such as Snapp or Tapsi. Please ask our colleagues if you need help with either of these options.
Airport Pickup
Should you require to be picked up at the airport, please indicate it in your registration form and keep us informed about your arrival schedule. We will arrange for a colleague to pick you up from the airport.
