How To Apply

Required Documents

1. a clear and high resolution scan of the bio-page of applicant's passport;
2. the passport must be valid for at least 6 months and have two blank pages;
3. a recent passport-size photograph (3*4 and not exceeding 50kb);
4. your last academic diploma or transcripts (not exceeding 100kb);
(In case you plan to study at a university towards an academic degree, the diploma and/or transcripts must be notarized by the Iranian Embassy in your country);
5. an updated curriculum vitae (not exceeding 100kb).

Since the registration website is updated regularly, there may be additional required documents. If and when this happens, we will update the information on this page.

Next Step

Please make sure you inform us of your arrival date and time and whether you need to be picked up at the airport. This can be arranged a couple of weeks before your departure. We will book your preferred accommodation and arrange to pick you up at the airport, if needed.

After you arrive in Shiraz, the first thing you need to do is to visit us at the Center to:
1. To meet us in person so we can introduce you to all our friendly lecturers and administrators;
2. To complete your registration;
3. To participate to workshop "introduce shiraz university".

Conditions of Study Applicants

Instruction for Prospective International Students of Shiraz University

General Requirements:

  • A valid passport from the candidate's country of citizenship
  • The approval of the Student Affairs Organization to study as an international student in an Iranian institute of higher education. (See application links)
  • The approval of the Student Affairs Organization in accordance with the laws and regulations of the Islamic Republic of Iran

Specific Conditions:

  • Official certificates and transcripts of the candidates' latest higher education degree, indicating the complete fulfillment of their course of study
  • All required documents (listed below) must be translated into Persian and English, and legally certified, at the embassy or consulate of the Islamic Republic of Iran at the candidate's country of residency
  • The applicants' admission to Shiraz University, in all levels, is subject to the written approval of the University's Vice-Chancellor of Education, as well as the approval of the relevant department and faculty. PhD applicants are particularly advised to obtain the respective department's approval by submitting a statement of intent and attending an interview with members of the faculty.
  • All international students at Shiraz University are required to pass Persian language program with the University's Persian Language Training Center. Subject to the department's approval, applicants are allowed to study, and submit their dissertations in English after they are formally admitted to the required program.

Required Documents:

  • Applicants must log in the website of the Student Affairs Organization, and complete the application form for admission, available at http://old.saorg.ir/Application.php
  • Submission of original diplomas and certificates, and their certified copies. Certificates must indicate the completion of prerequisite programs besides official transcripts.
  • Presenting a valid passport, and certified copies of the first page, and visa pages of the passport.
